Adam McNestrie

Adam McNestrie is a journalist with 14 years’ experience covering the P&C market. He led Insurance Insider from 2016 onwards, and was the co-founder of Insurance Insider US in 2019. In late 2022, he handed over all leadership responsibilities and became Editor-at-Large of Insurance Insider and Insurance Insider US, refocusing 100% of his attention on reporting.

Based out of London, he nevertheless spends a significant amount of time with a network of US sources, covering the world’s largest insurance market.

Areas of interest in the US include the specialty/E&S markets, the large public brokers, the private levered brokers, and M&A across the insurance value chain.

Beyond the US, he continues to cover the Lloyd’s market, large London market brokers, and M&A. He also retains a residual interest in the aviation market.

As well as breaking news he writes long-form commentary, and is focused on understanding company strategy at key companies, and the CEO perspective more generally.
