Kyoung-son Song covers reinsurance, commercial property and general liability insurance for Insurance Insider US, based in New York City. She joined the team as senior reporter in June 2022 and had her “baptism of fire” in the insurance world covering the landfall and after-effect of Hurricane Ian three months later.

Born and raised in Seoul, KS started her career covering Korean manufacturing and IT companies such as Samsung, LG and Hyundai for an English-language media outlet. She graduated Columbia Journalism School in May 2022 with a Master of Arts degree.
