Allstate pegs October cat losses at $226mn post-tax

Allstate has announced pre-tax cat losses of $286mn, or post-tax of $226mn, for October.

The estimate includes a pre-tax loss of $102mn for Hurricane Milton, and unfavourable reserve re-estimates of $114mn, pre-tax, for Hurricane Helene.
