Hurricane Helene losses will likely be larger than Idalia: AM Best

The ratings agency expects insured losses of around $5bn for Helene.

AM Best said it expects losses from Category 4 Hurricane Helene to be greater than from Idalia, due to Helene’s larger wind span and its track taking it near inland urban areas including Tallahassee and Atlanta.
