R&Q has said it is evaluating opportunities for a second legacy sidecar, in a strategy statement outlining the future for its legacy business following the planned separation from program management arm Accredited.

The firm launched the Bermuda-based legacy sidecar Gibson Re with $300m of capital in Q4 2021.

To date, R&Q has ceded seven transactions to the vehicle, covering ~$470mn of initial reserves, and generating $29mn of fee income.
