The mood of the industry at the annual ILS Bermuda Convergence get-together was far more positive in 2023 than at this point last year, following a turnaround in fortunes after challenges of Hurricane Ian.

ILS managers are anticipating strong returns for the year, with the consensus average across all strategies being 15%-20%, barring any major, late-season nat cats.
