IAG natural peril allowance rises 26% to A$1.15bn

Insurance Australia Group (IAG) has increased its natural perils allowance to A$1.15bn ($734mn) for its financial year ending 30 June 2024, a rise of 26% on the previous year’s A$909mn.

This came as the carrier’s financial results for the year to 30 June showed net natural perils costs of A$1.2bn,
