The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) has approved Mainsail Insurance Company, which will assume 280,000 policies from Citizens.

The second P&C insurer to receive approval from the OIR this year, the Texas-based firm’s approval follows that of HCI-owned Tailrow Insurance in April.
