Axis Capital fee income from strategic capital partners increased by 24% to $14.6mn in Q2 compared to the prior-year quarter, as the firm’s ceded premiums grew 9.8% to $1.4bn in the period.

The ceded premiums comprised a rise of 11% to $661mn in insurance ceded to other reinsurers, as well as $82.8mn
