Data and analytics InsurTech Accelerant has launched a risk exchange, through which it aims to more easily connect specialist underwriting businesses with insurers and risk capital partners.

The company raised $150mn, with cornerstone investment from Barings, to fund the launch, Bloomberg reported.

Accelerant, which is backed by Altamont Capital, was founded in 2019 to provide capacity to MGAs in the UK, Europe and the US.
