AM Best has affirmed Lumen Re's financial strength rating of A (excellent) and long-term credit rating of "a" (excellent), noting an overall operating performance of "adequate" helped by a de-risking and re-underwriting process that "significantly" brought down the loss ratio compared to the prior year.

Lumen Re's operating profit was expected to improve given the hardening market and tightening underwriting.
