Axis fee income drops in Q1

Axis said lower fee income earned from strategic capital partners was the primary driver of a drop-off in other insurance income for Q1.

The other income fell by $6mn to $1mn for the quarter.

Ceded premium: The carrier has changed its detailed reporting on premium cessions to strategic partners, after last year exiting the catastrophe reinsurance space.
