K2 Advisors has held its outlook for ILS at overweight for the second quarter, as it noted that the January renewal had resulted in "potentially the cleanest risk transferred" to the capital markets.

The firm said the combination of significant rate increase at the renewal and the floating rate structure of ILS had resulted in a forward-looking total yield expectation that remained at near-record highs.
