CSU predicts ‘slightly below average’ 2023 hurricane season

Colorado State University (CSU) researchers are anticipating “slightly below average” activity during the 2023 Atlantic basin hurricane season, with two major hurricanes, according to their report ahead of storm season.

They have predicted a “near-average” probability for major hurricanes – Category 3, 4, and 5 – making landfall along the continental US coastline and in the Caribbean.
