Investors in Australia are re-appraising ILS and have remote layers in sight

Advisers and allocators in Australia have signalled a positive position on ILS, which they say is driven by the spreads on offer in 2023 and the diversification benefit of the asset class in the context of wider financial market volatility.

The country has a sizeable superannuation sector, with assets totalling A$3.3tn ($2.2tn) as of 30 September 2022, according to the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia.
