One of the key talking points for anyone in the (re)insurance sector at the moment is how Fidelis will land its targeted balance sheet IPO after the bifurcation of its MGA and rated paper, and the merits of that business split.

There are supporters and questioners of the company’s decision. They include multiple firms who say they have a similar business model and want to ensure the MGA/carrier split does not get earmarked as “the Fidelis model”.
