Hong Kong extends $1.5mn ILS grant scheme for another two years

Hong Kong has extended for another two years its pilot ILS scheme, which offers grants of up to HK$12mn ($1.5mn) for eligible ILS issuances out of Hong Kong.

The scheme was used by Asia-based sponsor Peak Re for its Black Kite Re bond in May last year, which achieved $150mn of Japan typhoon coverage.
