KCC pegs Turkey earthquake insurance losses at $2.4bn

Total insured losses stemming from the recent earthquake in Turkey are estimated to be around $2.4bn, according to modellers Karen Clark & Company (KCC).

KCC said that total property losses from the event at the beginning of last week are likely to exceed $20bn, with widespread building damage stemming from poor construction and lax enforcement of building codes.
