The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Floir) has updated its estimated insured loss figure for Hurricane Ian, increasing it to $12.6bn from $10.3bn a month ago, after receiving more claims data from primary carriers.
The change marks a second update to Floir’s loss estimate, as last month’s$10.3bn figure was itself updated from $9.6bn
