Loss aggregator Perils has estimated an insured loss of A$791mn ($532mn) from the floods that struck southeast Australia in October.

The states of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania were hit by severe flooding on 12-28 October in another year of challenging weather conditions in Australia.
