Private ILS outperforms cat bonds as ILS funds gain 0.24% in July

ILS funds gained 0.24% in July, bringing year-to-date returns to 0.57% as cat bond funds had their first profitable month since March, the Eurekahedge ILS Advisers Index showed.

Pure cat bond funds gained 0.04%, a return to positive territory after a period of mark-to-market losses as rates firmed.
