Dedicated reinsurance capacity grew to $568bn in 2021 from $519 in 2020 due to an increase of almost 11% from traditional providers, but this trend may be short-lived, according to AM Best.

In a report, the ratings agency said depressed investment markets, geopolitical turmoil and a possible decline in global GDP could act as a brake on capital growth.
