Elementum makes ‘flattish’ start to 2022 as earnings dip to $12mn

White Mountains has said its part-owned ILS manager Elementum has made a “flattish start” to 2022, with earnings slightly down on the prior year, but noted that market conditions for ILS investing are attractive.

In an investor day presentation released late last week, White Mountains said that Elementum’s trailing 12-month adjusted Ebitda for 2022 was $12mn, “down a touch” from $13mn in 2021.
