Credit Suisse ILS entities took a £16.1mn loss in 2021 from the 2020 and prior years of account for Syndicate 1856.

The syndicate was acquired by Aquiline-owned Lloyd’s syndicate ERS in December 2020, and rebranded as IQUW, but the acquirer only bears the result of new business written for the 2021 year of account (YoA).
