Nephila syndicate returns to profit despite 2021 cats

Nephila’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 2357 reported a $55.5mn profit for 2021, with its combined ratio improving by 27 points to 86.5% to deliver its first underwriting profit since 2016.

The syndicate had fallen to a $41.5mn loss in 2020, as it recorded a 113.7% combined ratio.
