Perils estimated insured losses from Windstorm Nadia, also known as Malik, would reach EUR272mn ($297mn) after the weather system impacted Scotland, Northern Europe and Germany from 29 to 30 January 2022.

Most of the losses occurred in Germany, which experienced more than half of the total industry loss, with losses in other impacted regions remaining modest.
