Fitch estimates EUR3bn reinsurance impact from European storms

Fitch Ratings has estimated gross insured losses of up to EUR5bn ($5.6bn) from the current European storms, of which around EUR3bn will hit reinsurance programmes.

Storms Dudley, Eunice and Franklin were expected to impact insurers’ profits particularly in Germany, the UK and the Netherlands.
