Cyber re could double in size every three years: Gallagher Re

Gallagher Re has predicted that the cyber reinsurance market will double in size every three years if it keeps growing at its current pace, becoming comparable in size to property catastrophe or casualty by 2040.

Cyber is also expected to exceed property cat in terms of annual reinsurance premiums shortly after 2030, especially if insurers continue their heavy reliance on reinsurance.
