Franklin Templeton has confirmed the promotion of Michael Rich to head its K2 Fund ILS, Commodities and Environmental Strategies, replacing Jonathan Malawer who has joined a climate investing start-up.

Rich, who will act as the lead portfolio manager for the Franklin K2 Cat Bond Strategy, worked alongside Malawer for ten years.
