State of emergency in Colorado as wildfire engulfs ~600 buildings

Hundreds of buildings have been destroyed in Colorado as two wildfires rip through the state around the Boulder County area.

At a press conference, Boulder County sheriff Joe Pelle estimated that 580 buildings in and around the town of Superior have been destroyed by the fast-moving conflagrations, which are being fanned by winds gusting up to 115 mph.
