Lancashire takes up to $185mn cat losses as YTD GWP rises 46.9%

Lancashire Holdings has reported $967.7mn in gross written premium (GWP) for the nine months ended 30 September, a 46.9% year-on-year increase. The carrier also flagged Q3 catastrophe losses of between $165mn and $185mn.

GWP: The biggest increases in GWP came from Lancashire’s property and casualty (P&C) reinsurance and P&C insurance segments, which increased by 85.3%
