IAG erodes 77% of aggregate reinsurance deductible as it revises up cat loss toll

IAG said catastrophe losses have reached 77% of the way to triggering its aggregate reinsurance cover for its fiscal year 2022, which runs until 30 June 2022.

The insurer also said net cat losses from late October hailstorms would reach the A$169mn ($127mn) trigger for its occurrence reinsurance programme.
