The Hanover has announced that its preliminary estimate for Q3 cat losses is in the range of $150mn-$165mn before taxes and $119mn-$130mn after taxes.

The midpoint of the estimate is around $97mn above the company's pre-tax Q3 cat load, which the carrier said had been driven primarily by the effects of Hurricane Ida.
