US claims inflation limits growth opportunities: Scor

Scor does not see significant growth opportunity in the US insurance or reinsurance market despite strong price increases because of claims inflation, Scor Global P&C CEO Jean Paul Conoscente said on a briefing earlier today.

He said that on the casualty side, profitability had been adversely affected because of social inflation, and on the property side, there had been claims inflation and that rate hikes were barely keeping up with it.
