Global reinsurers’ combined ratios improved and solvency levels returned to pre-Covid levels during H1, but fears are increasing over the impact of rising inflation, according to Willis Re.

In its August strategic and financial analytics global reinsurance briefing, the intermediary noted that during the first half of the year, underwriting results were “exceptionally strong”.
