RenRe clears latest Mona Lisa cat bond at lowest end of pricing targets

RenaissanceRe has priced its latest Mona Lisa Re catastrophe bond at the lowest end of its revised pricing guidance, as competitive cat bond market conditions persist.

It is understood that the reinsurer will pay a premium of 700 basis points (bps) for the retro cat bond cover, which settled 11% below its initial mid-point target.
