Colorado State University maintains above-average Atlantic hurricane forecast

Colorado State University (CSU) has maintained its forecast for an above-average 2021 Atlantic hurricane season, keeping its projections for hurricanes and major hurricanes stable from its April outlook.

The university’s scientists lifted their forecast named storms by one to account for Ana, which formed prior to the start of the season, with a further 17 named storms expected throughout 2021.
