Singapore draws in more ILS deals but how much interest relies on rebates?

Singapore has swiftly raised its profile as a domicile for insurance-linked securities (ILS) after attracting swathes of catastrophe bond issuers in the past two years.

In early 2018, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) launched a grant scheme that dampens the frictional costs of ILS issuances in the domicile by funding all upfront costs during issuance.
