FCA puts post-ruling Covid BI claims payout tally at £472mn

Insurers have made £471.8mn ($654mn) in final and interim payments for BI claims on UK policies affected by the Supreme Court ruling, according to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) data.

The regulator published data today on the number of claims received, full settlements and initial payments. It plans to gather information from carriers on their claims progress regularly.
